Our manifesto
We believe that the law deserves to be read, not just received — and that compliance, done well, can feel less like surveillance and more like a beautiful story.

How we started

Lexlens was built because one of us couldn't keep up.

Francisco de Abreu Duarte, one of our founders, had a very practical problem. As a scholar working at the intersection of law and technology, he was struggling to keep track of the legislation, judgments, and regulatory developments that were reshaping his field on a weekly basis.

"What was missing was a way to read only the legal developments that mattered."

There were enough sources. There was enough writing. There was, in fact, far too much of all of it. What was missing was a way to read only the law that mattered to him — and to read it on his own terms, on his own schedule, in his own jurisdictions.

So Francisco built something. First for himself, then for his colleagues, then — through Lexstream — for every legal professional facing the same flood of information.

That tool became Lexlens. It is still developed, every week, by a team of legal scholars and compliance experts who use it themselves — because we still believe that the best legal product is the one its makers refuse to live without.

Three principles for a compliance practice that doesn't feel like one.

Everything we ship — every classifier, every digest, every Custom Lens — is measured against these three rules.

01
Tailored, not exhaustive
No one needs all of the law. Everyone needs the law that affects their next decision. We classify, score, and filter so that your feed reflects your practice — not the entire legal stack.
02
Read, don't receive
A digest you can't skim is a digest you didn't read. We design every briefing — Daily Lens, weekly summary, alert — for the five-minute window before your first meeting.
03
Style is a feature
Compliance tools have looked the same since the early 2000s. We think a beautiful interface makes legal work easier to sustain — and we treat typography, rhythm, and pace as first-class engineering concerns.

Lexlens is a Lexstream product.

Lexstream is the legal-technology company behind Lexlens. We build infrastructure for legal information at European scale — the ingestion pipelines, classifiers, and reading interfaces that turn 500+ disparate sources into a single, coherent, jurisdiction-aware feed.

Lexlens is our flagship reader, but it sits on top of a broader stack — one we license to law firms, compliance teams, and academic institutions across the EU.
